Dr. Leimbach is a graduate of the University of Michigan and received his medical degree from Washington University Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes Hospital, Washington University Medical Center. Dr. Leimbach completed his fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Georgia. He has served as the director of the Catheterization Laboratory at Atlanta's VA Medical Center, and as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University. Dr. Leimbach joined Northeast Georgia Heart Center and helped start the angioplasty and acute MI programs at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, where he is also the Chief of Cardiology. Dr. Leimbach is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
