Dr. Toosi obtained his medical degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Mashhad, Iran. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Toosi completed an advanced heart failure and transplant fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City followed by completion of his general cardiology fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He has training in invasive and non-invasive cardiology including cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, stress testing, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, and vascular imaging. He participated in a comprehensive research project on acute pulmonary embolism at Emory University Hospitals and has authored multiple publications in the field of cardiology. Dr. Toosi continues his interests in heart failure, left ventricular assist device (LVAD) management and is on staff at the transplant program at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta and Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology.
